Mars life? New rover may uncover tantalizing clues
Fri Nov 25, 2011
To those who keep complaining about wasting taxpayers' money, your anger would be better directed toward criticizing our endless wars and billion dollar bailouts--far more futile and costly. Money spent on science to further our knowledge of the universe is a worthy endeavor.
Gap between U.S. rich, poor is widest in Atlanta
Wed Oct 26, 2011
Bait and Switch by Barbara Ehrenreich. Read it and get back to me about folks "whining" about the "American Dream."
Climate controversy spotlights GOP stands on science
Wed Aug 17, 2011
Bacterial resistance to antibiotics is one example of a very REAL problem patients and doctors face every day. A disbelief in evolution and natural selection is as preposterous as believing the sky is not blue.

US House approves billions for wars without debate
Fri Dec 17, 2010
Agree with #22. We are already effectively a province of China, but the politicians are at best in denial, and at worst, willing accomplices. The average American remains clueless as corporations empty our coffers and spill innocent blood to pad their profits.
Should the Florida church heed the advice of Gen. Petraeus and cancel its controversial demonstration?
Tue Sep 7, 2010
Just because an act is legal (as it should be) doesn't imply that it's ethical, moral, in good taste, or not dangerous.
Who do you hold accountable for the AIG bonus situation?
Wed Mar 18, 2009
Opinions are like you know what. Everybody has one. Before contributing to the cacophany, make sure you have your facts straight. Like most problems, this one is multifactorial, but the important question is what are we going to do about it now?
